FATF Launches Consultation on Proliferation Financing & Sanctions Evasion

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) published a consultation on complex proliferation financing (PF) and sanctions evasion schemes.

 

The project aims to improve public and private sector understanding of current proliferation financing risks.

Key focus areas for the consultation include:

➡️ Information that the FATF can provide institutions to help mitigate PF risks;

➡️ Products and services most at risk to exploitation by sanctions evasion and PF actors; and

➡️ The greatest challenges and best practices for identifying and mitigating PF risks.

🗓️ Firms have until 21st March 2025 to respond using the designated channels.
