FinCEN Begins Accepting Beneficial Ownership Reports

Following the enaction of its new final rule on January 1st, 2024, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has begun accepting beneficial ownership reports.


This includes:

  • Existing companies have one year to file reports; and
  • New companies must file reports within 90 days of creation or registration.

Firms with U.S. operations should review the FinCEN guidance resources as to comply with the recent changes to beneficial ownership reporting obligations.
