The Charter has four principles for participating institutions:
- A ban on sending any instant electronic messages to customers with embedded hyperlinks;
- Collaboration to raise public awareness of credit card scams and other digital frauds;
- The provision of contact information on suitable channels for customers to make enquiries; and
- The implementation of relevant training to frontline staff.
Firms can view the second edition of the Charter to remain attuned to ongoing regulatory anti-fraud and scam initiatives and expectations.
