Joint ESA's Report on Removing Licences for Serious AML/CTF Breaches
The three European Supervisory Authorities – EBA, EIOPA and ESMA - have published a joint report proposing the introduction of EU sectoral laws to provide grounds for regulators to revoke licences for serious breaches of AML/CTF rules.
The report also calls for the inclusion of assessments by competent authorities of the adequacy of the arrangements and processes to ensure AML/CTF compliance as one condition for granting authorisation or registration.
