Joint Statement from OFSI, HMRC, FCA on UK Sanctions Compliance

The Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI), HM Treasury (HMT) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) have published a joint statement to UK financial services firms, including those in the cryptoasset sector.

The statement urges firms to ensure they are compliant with the UK sanctions regime and emphasising firms to update and review their current policies and procedures.

In addition, it sets out red flag indicators which should be considered when assessing sanctions risk.
