The UK Government has published its new sanctions strategy.
The strategy sets forth the UK government’s approach to using sanctions to address global threats, promote international norms and protect the UK.
The strategy is structured around:
How UK sanctions support UK foreign policy priorities;
Building international coalitions and working with the private sector, civil society and other stakeholders;
Developing a robust sanctions system with due process; and
An enhanced approach across government and reinforcing sanctions implementation and enforcement.
Firms can review the strategy to gain insights into the Government’s use of sanctions as a foreign and security policy tool alongside the continued investment, partnerships and structures that support our sanctions.
