Regulatory Initiative Forum Publishes New Regulatory Initiatives Grid

The Financial Services Regulatory Initiative Forum published the new Regulatory Initiatives Grid.

The grid sets out planned regulatory activities for the next 2 years across multiple UK regulators such as the FCA, the Bank of England, and HM Treasury.

Key initiatives highlighted in the grid include:

➡️ The FCA’s review of politically exposed persons;

➡️ HM Treasury’s consultation on improving the effectiveness of the Money Laundering Regulations;

➡️ The Transforming Data Collection initiative led by the FCA, Bank of England, and the Prudential Regulatory Authority; and

➡️ Guidance on encryption from the Information Commissioner’s Office.

✅ Economic crime risk teams should review the grid in detail and maintain robust plans for updating policies and transforming processes in accordance with upcoming regulatory changes.
