UK Fraud Strategy

The UK Government has published its 2023-25 Fraud Strategy which outlines the Government’s planned approach to tackling fraud in the coming years.

The strategy is based on a three pillar approach:

  • Pillar 1: Pursue fraudsters: through measures including establishing a National Fraud Squad and leading a global partnership;
  • Pillar 2: Block fraud: particularly in telephone networks and tech; and
  • Pillar 3: Empower people: by supporting and reimbursing more victims and communicating the issue.

The strategy also details the Government’s approach to enhancing international and domestic capabilities to tackle fraud, and how it will deliver on its strategy; which firms and members of the public can read.
