UK Releases a New Global Anti-corruption Sanctions Regime

The UK has announced a new global anti-corruption sanctions regime which replaces the Misappropriation (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 concerning misappropriation of State funds from any country outside the UK.

UK Financial Institutions should note that those persons who are designated under this regime are included on the UK sanctions list; and should update their sanctions screening lists and procedures accordingly.
