US Treasury's Framework for International Engagement on Digital Assets

The US Treasury has delivered to President Joe Biden a framework for International Engagement on Digital Assets.

The framework seeks to protect investors, mitigate illicit finance and national security risks, and reinforce US leadership and competitiveness in the global financial system.

The Treasury highlighted that inadequate AML/CFT regulation, supervision, and enforcement by other countries creates challenges when investigating illicit digital asset transactions that flow overseas.
