2023 Annual Scams and Cybercrime Brief Published by Singapore Police
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has published its Annual Scams and Cybercrime Brief for 2023.

Highlights from the report include:
The number of scam and cybercrime cases increased by 49.6% to 50,376 in 2023, compared to 33,669 cases in 2022;
In 2023, the Anti-Scam Command conducted 24 anti-scam enforcement operations, leading to the investigation of over 9,600 money mules and scammers;
The SPF will continue to fight scams through enforcement, engagement and education in 2024, including collaborations with banks and telecommunication platforms; and
Regulatory enhancements will allow the SPF to take action against money mules.
